Aku dalam dilema betul lah sekarang nih. Separuh hati kata, I should. Separuh lagi kata I should not. Hmmmm.......
We were awarded a new project recently. A new guy was appointed to be the PM. Same 'skin colour' as mine. Orang kite la.... Incidently, I was involved in the project, not only as a planner but unfortunately also doing PE's job. Hence the MoMs writing, procedures, lists etc...
At first, I was like, "OK. The guy is new in the company, it's ok if I help him. Lagipun sama kaler kulit. Ok lah." But later on, I just realised his i-don't-like attitude. He's not a very proactive PM. He seems to be a bit lost in his work but didn't want to ask. Even if he did asked, he'll end up requested me to do it. Ayyooooo..... cannot like this maaa..... I know he did not have a PE yet, I understand that. Nobody can work alone. But when you ask people to help, you also must do some work, don't just expect people to do it and you just receive the results. No! No! No! That's not the way we do the work here.... You are a new guy, and you cannot just tai-chi your work around. Hisshhhh!!!!! Pantang aku!
During the first 2 weeks, we provided him with all the information needed to start his work. And until now, no drafts yet. And he even has the gut to turn to me asked about the status of the procedures when being enquired by the big boss in the meeting. What the heck????!!!! I'm not doing it! Period!
And now he just seems managed to make others dislike him. When people dislikes someone, they will talked behind his back. Me included... So jahat, kan? But I'm not alone in this quest. Hehehe.... well, let say, mmm.... about 90% of us who involves in the project feels the same way. Oh! Let me correct it. 99% of us....
When he chairs the meeting, he mumbles. He even look sleepy during the meeting. Ni kes sama cam Pak Lah dulu la nih....
My boss already asked me to start slowly drawback from the project, else I will end up doing everything. But seeing the report done by him (geleng kepala aku tengok), all the paperworks, comments from Client, almost everythinglah, makes me want to help getting all the procedures and paperworks done. Not because of him, but for the company and for the sake of getting good impressions from the Client on us.
How ah? Should I or should I not? I know I can do it eventho I'm currently occupied with another project as well. At least clear up all the documentations required. But with his tai-chi attitude, pikir balik, tak koser aku nak tolong. Biar luncai terjun ngan labu-labunya!! Karang, lembu punya susu, sapi dapat nama.
One thing for sure, that guy definitely does not have the required management skill to handle project. Maybe he is good at field, but to manage a project, hmmmm..... he just not have the quality of a PM.

Chop!!! Whats PE? I know Project Manager at least..hehe
No way jose for you too be to kind & do all his work- dont let him 'go' that easy!!
If you're doin a service for the co's goodwill & the client's sake blablabla....make sure all the parties involved knew first hand about it. Whos his immediate superior? Talk to him/her or at least ask your own superior to talk to his.
As a newcomer, he can be excused for being a lil' slow but not bodoh-sombong or even malas!!
*rad d consultant tak bertauliah*
